The Surrey Hotel Welcomes Guests of All Ages With Family-Friendly Amenities and Promotions
(Vocus) June 10, 2010 -- Considered moments are extended to guests of all ages with The Surrey’s new children’s amenities and family-friendly packages. Each family arriving at the hotel will receive special customized gifts to allow their children to experience the best of New York City, while taking home something to remember their stay at The Surrey. As a way to give back to families this summer, The Surrey will provide a complimentary second room, for children or nannies, when booking a one-bedroom suite. Rates for the family package begin at $899, with savings up to 70 percent off. This package will be available through September 2, 2010.
Giving tribute to its neighbor, Central Park, The Surrey will provide each family checking in with a copy of Shel Siverstein’s “The Giving Tree.” This classic book about the relationship between a young boy and a tree is one of Silverstein’s best-known titles and has been well-loved throughout the generations. The story uniquely showcases the many ways in which Mother Nature provides for us.
Upon arrival, children will also receive a plantable Surrey bookmark that is embedded with seeds, giving them the opportunity to plant their own bookmark at home. Guests may also choose to take advantage of the many family-friendly activities in Central Park, located less than a block away from the hotel. Concierges are available to provide advice on the best spot in the park for a picnic, flag football game, or to play Frisbee. Additionally, The Surrey will give back to Mother Nature by sponsoring the planting of a Caliper tree on the lawn of a New York City public schoolyard dedicated to the children of The Surrey.

The London Borough of Merton is located in south west of London. The borough of Kingston upon Thames lies on its western border, Sutton in the south, Wandsworth on the north while the boroughs of Croydon and Lambeth touch its eastern border. The borough takes its name from the historic parish of Merton which was originally based in South Wimbledon. There are 3 main commercial centres in the Borough of Merton, namely Mitcham, Morden and Wimbledon. The largest of the three is Wimbledon.
